Collection: Mike Young

Mike Young is a ex proffessinal surfer whom currently runs a surf school in Newquay and has been painting for over 30 years.

Mike is self taught using mainly watercolour and acrylic on canvas or recycled board. He mainly paints portraiture art following the surrealist/Dada style with the vivid use of colour, influenced bu his childhood being bought up in Africa.

A lot of the art Mike is producing is heavily influenced by climate change and protecting our oceans and what lives in it and works with many charities including Seashepherd and the Captain Paul Watson foundation to highlight the plight of the oceans.
